Arrival by plane: If you travel to Hamburg by plane, we recommend that you purchase your ticket early, as many airlines offer special rates for early-bookers. You can search for flights and make arrangements via the Hamburg airport web-site (http://www.travel.ham.airport.de). It's 45 min by taxi from the airport to the conference venue (30-35 €). |

Arrival by train: If you arrive at Hamburg Central Station or Altona Train Station take the S-Bahn 1 (S1) in direction Blankenese/Wedel. Get off the S-Bahn at Blankenese station and take the bus 286 in direction Falkenstein. Exit the bus at Lichtenheimweg bus stop and walk to the Elsa Brandström-Haus. Or take a taxi (from the Central Train Station approximately 35 min and 30 €). Or take a taxi (from the Altona Train Station approximately 20 min and 20 €). It's a 15 minute walk from the S-Bahn Blankenese station to the Elsa Brandström-Haus (see below). Arrival by car: Exit the Autobahn A7 at Othmarschen (first exit on the Hamburgian side of the Elbtunnel). From there on follow the signs going from Elbchaussee to Blankenese. Drive past Blankenese station towards Rissen. After 1km you can see a shell gas station and turn left the into the Kösterbergstraße in direction Falkenstein / Krankenhaus Tabea. Finally after 500m you find the entrance to the "Weißes Haus" of the Elsa-Brandström-Haus. © 2008 disclaimer |
